Lathing of Vical S.A. acrylic sheet
The acrylic can be lathing in the same way that the soft metals like the aluminum. The tools used can be HSS, widia or hard metal. To get better endings, tools with rounding points can be used. The cutting rate of the acrylic to be lathing varies between 100 meters/minute to 300 meters/minutes.
It is advisable to use the less rate with lengths superiors to 300 mm.
